Rising indie-pop singer-songwriter Landon Gamble is excited to perform a show at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, ON on January 16th.
The show will be followed by the release of Landon’s new single “Faces,” due for release on January 24th via Infinity & Recordings on all streaming platforms. Tackling the frustration of discovering unexpected sides to someone you thought you knew, the track will resonate with anyone who’s been confused by someone close to them. Written by Landon Gamble and produced by Landon, Dawson Gamble (Geoff Warburton, Tyler Shaw, Victoria Duffield) and Matthew Mondello (Trey Joshua), it is the kind of song you’ll find yourself immediately singing along to.
Toronto-born and based, Landon Gamble is known for his emotive indie-pop sound and impressive multi-instrumental skills. At just 22 years old, his songwriting reflects a maturity beyond his years, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Backseat Lovers, Pinegrove and Ed Sheeran. His music blends catchy melodies with introspective lyrics, capturing themes of change, loss, and personal growth.
His passion for music began early, learning guitar and performing with his brother Dawson from a young age. Together, they honed their craft, shaping Landon’s unique sound and heartfelt storytelling. Landon’s music continues to evolve as he prepares to release his sophomore EP in 2025

I had the opportunity to chat with Landon about his musical journey so far, his upcoming show at The Horseshoe Tavern, and what’s next.
Kat: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your musical journey so far?
Landon: My musical journey started from a very young age when my dad first started teaching me and my brother how to play guitar on his 72’ Stratocaster and raising us on classic rock from the 70’s. From that point on we became addicted, our instrumental knowledge began to grow and we always wanted to learn a new song. In high school I started really getting into songwriting, and by fifteen I think I knew I wanted to actually get serious about music and make a career out of it. It started out with me just writing songs without any means of recording. I would sit in my garage for hours by myself, with my brother or surrounded by friends and write as often as I could. When high school ended I started saving up to start professionally recording my songs and I began a new journey of being a recording artist. I’ve been releasing music for about four years now and with every song I put out I can feel my sound forming and coming together more and more, using all the inspiration I’ve gathered from the people around me and the great artists of my time.
Kat: What was the inspiration behind your new single “Faces”?
Landon: To me, there are usually two main ways to write a song; write about personal past experiences or create a story and put yourself in someone else’s shoes. “Faces” was the latter. I’m not quite sure what initially sparked the idea for the concept of song but I do know that I wanted to create a story about a girl who’s characteristics are a mystery. Once I have something like that figured out things often tend to fall into place and before I know it I have a verse written. Sonically I would say some inspirations were Royel Otis, The Kid Laroi and The Backseat Lovers.
Kat: You worked with your brother Dawson Gamble and Matthew Mondello to bring this song to life. What was the creative process like and were there any unique challenges or memorable moments you can share with us?
Landon: Dawson and Matthew were actually on a music related trip in L.A when I wrote this song. I had the demo finished by the time they got home and when I showed it to them they both loved it and had so many amazing ideas to add to it. Dawson gave me some great ideas on the guitar and Matt worked heavily on planning out the percussion side of things before my drummer Stefan Loebus recorded the drums. It all came together so well and I was grateful for the input they had on this track.
Kat: What message or feeling do you hope listeners take away from your music?
Landon: I hope to create universal relatability. I believe I write about very real issues and I try my best to get to the absolute core of them and write about them passionately and honestly, and I think people will like that. Whether I’m writing from experience or creating a story, I think I always get pretty close to something that someone has went through. Could be the best times that they’ve ever had or the most heartbreaking. This is what I find to be the most beautiful part of making music. Making one person feel something is worth more than I could describe.
Kat: On January 16th you’ll be performing at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. Do you have any rituals or routines when you’re preparing for a performance?
Landon: I don’t really have any rituals or routines before a show, I just love to think of it as another rehearsal. I find the best way to avoid useless anxiety about performing is to realize that you are prepared and all you’re gonna do is go out there and play like you do when there’s nobody watching. A pre-show burger always helps too!
Kat: What’s your favourite song to perform live and why?
Landon: My favourite song to perform live would have to be “Lonely (Only For Me)”. We made this song such a fun and energetic experience to play live and there is so much passion involved while singing it. I love all of the heavy electric guitar parts we added and how glued together the song sounds when we play it live. One of the best feelings ever is playing a tight song with a tight band!
Kat: What else can fans expect from you in 2025?
Landon: I’m currently working on a project with Infinity and I have to say it’s some of my favourite music that I’ve made thus far in my career. Song releases, lots of shows and really cool content can all be expected for next year!
