Brittany Bristow, Lily Gao, Chantel Riley, and Camille Stopps star in “The Love Club” a W Network Original that will air as a four-part movie special event on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT beginning February 10 on W Network and STACKTV.

You can follow the lives of The Love Club by watching the four-part movie event sequentially or as stand-alone movies, in which each woman is the lead in her own romantic journey, helped by the rest of her friends to find their one true love.

At a New Year’s Eve college party, four women – Nicole (Bristow), Sydney (Gao), Lauren (Riley), and Tara (Stopps) – each dealing with their own dating disaster, take a vow to call on one another if they are ever in romantic crisis again. This vow has them resurrecting their “Love Club” ten years later as each of them search for their unique happily ever after.

Brittany stars in “The Love Club: Nicole“, freshly engaged, interior designer Nicole still wonders if the one she is meant to be with is her mystery school pen-pal whose letters she has kept all these years. At a loss of what to do, she seeks out the help of The Love Club. Knowing their friend Nicole is a hopeless romantic who will never move on until the mystery is solved, they all set out to track down Nicole’s pen pal. Their sleuthing leads them to a quaint lodge where Nicole poses as the lodge’s hired decorator and where she meets the man she thinks is the one she’s been looking for all these years. But solving her romantic mystery isn’t that easy as Nicole tries to maintain her façade as the lodge’s decorator all while being thrown for a loop by an unexpected imposter.

With the help of The Love Club, Nicole and her friends try to find the man who penned the letters, an adventure which tests Nicole’s pursuit of her happily ever after and her belief in happy endings.

Filmed in the Hamilton, ON area, The Love Club also stars Canadians Marcus RosnerJesse HutchAndrew Bushell, and Brett Donahue.

I had the opportunity to chat with Brittany about her role, what she hopes the audience connects with and what’s next.

Kat: You’re in an exciting new W Network Original Movie “The Love Club”, how did you prepare for the role? Did you find any similarities between yourself and your character?

Brittany: I love the preparation process when it comes to any role, the role of Nicole in ‘The Love Club’ was no exception. In fact, it was a fun new challenge because instead of breaking down the scripts and getting hints about who she is from one script, it was from four. It was exciting to uncover who she was and then weave those traits as they ebb and flow, through four films. I spend a lot of time breaking things down, finding small character tells through the way the other characters see them, looking at how they handle situations. All of this allows me to build a background to what makes them who they are. Nic was a really fun character to build and live in throughout the shooting process. Subsequently, I think its natural to find parts of yourself in the characters that you play and with Nic, I found a lot of that in her hopefulness in her belief in love, I think we’re very similar in those ways.

Kat: Was there anything about your role that was particularly challenging?

Brittany: Nic was an incredibly fun role for me, but all roles come with their challenges and with Nic I think sitting in her insecurity and not loving herself as much as she deserved was that challenge for me. She finds her way through that though, and that was a beautiful transition to experience.

Kat: What were some of your favorite scenes to shoot and why?

Brittany: There were so many scenes that were fun to film, it’s so hard to pick just one. Any of the scenes where the four of us are together feel so fun and full of life! I also loved the scene between myself and Marcus, who plays Josh, when we were sitting around the fire eating pizza. It’s a sweet moment between these two characters, and it was beautiful to film.

Kat: Feel-good movies are more popular now than ever, what message do you hope fans take away from these types of movies?

Brittany: I hope that everyone who watches this takes away that we have the power to accept love from those who want to give it to us, knowing that we are deserving of that love. Also, that we have the power to give it to ourselves and that’s a really beautiful thing.

Kat: What’s next?

Brittany: I have another film, Shadowtown, coming out on February 21st. I also just finished a movie where I had a chance to record and sing – that was really exciting and we’re in the process of finishing that film now. I’ve got two films that I’ve signed onto so far this year and am about to start shooting the first one, and my husband and I just sold our very first film! We are so excited that it is going into production this year!
