We headed outside of Toronto on a day trip to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington and decided to stop at the George Street location of Electric Diner in Hamilton for brunch. Filled with neon and retro furnishings, it’s the perfect little spot for those nostalgic for the 80’s.
Located in the heart of the famous Hess Village at the corner of Hess and George St. The diner features a large exterior patio, indoor bar on the main floor, and dining area on the upper floor.

The diner currently serves all-day breakfast from open to close, as well your other diner staples like burgers, fries, sandwiches, soup and more with vegetarian and gluten free options. They also serve coffee, and some pretty yummy sounding cocktails, most of which come with some kind of candy or sprinkles.

We had the Strawberry Cheesecake Short Stack, which was delicious. (3 strawberry swirl pancakes, strawberry syrup, cream cheese icing, graham cracker crumble, and fresh strawberries).

And because it feels wrong to go to a retro diner and not order a milkshake, we also had the Pumpkin Spice, and Princess of Power milkshakes (cotton candy ice cream, cotton candy, and rainbow sprinkles).
