Vancouver-based Country Artist Kadooh, recently released new single “Rattlesnake Bite” along with the music video via 604 Records, capturing the essence of the rocking country tune, in a fun and lighthearted way that makes you want to get up and dance the night away.
The music video, filmed in Abbotsford, BC, was brought to life by Director Stephano Barberis (Jojo Mason, Dallas Smith, Jess Moskaluke) and produced by Greendale Productions. Kadooh’s close friend, and award-winning musician and songwriter Chad Kroeger of Nickelback not only makes a special guest appearance in the video, but also co-produced the new single.
We had the opportunity to chat with Kadooh about his latest single, working with Chad Kroeger, and what’s next.
Kat: Can you talk about the inspiration behind your latest single “Rattlesnake Bite”?
Kadooh: Well the inspiration came from a fun little riff that I wrote that Chad K. was very intrigued with and so we went into the studio and started laying down some fun upbeat music to go along with it. Lyrically we wanted to follow it with something that was really fun as well and we thought of hearing a song that makes you forget about what you’re doing or what you’re involved with and pulls you to the dance floor or whatever floor you have in front of you to let loose for a few minutes!!
Kat: What do you hope fans take from the single?
Kadooh: I hope that the fans do exactly what we intended them to do…forget about your troubles and maybe the craziness that’s all around us and just get back to feeling the energy and boundless state that music allows us to feel! Dance and feel free for a few minutes…then put it on repeat and do it again and again as they see fit!!
Kat: What do you find is the most challenging part of your creative process?
Kadooh: Finding the appropriate feeling for something lyrically or musically can definitely be challenging. It’s really nice when you have great energy with certain people that you write with because it makes that process much more relaxing and helps it flow! Which an easy flow is what I find creates some of the coolest music!!
Kat: What has been a career highlight for you so far? What have you learned along the way?
Kadooh: So many highlights from big to small but one is just being able to write music with my close friends as well as new people that have developed into friends. Hearing my songs get played on the radio is a dream come true or seeing the videos up on YouTube is super cool also. Then there is being able to step on stage and play these creations for people and seeing how they react and feel that energy transfer…there is nothing like it!!
Kat: What’s next?
Kadooh: Next is just keep writing more songs! Another EP on the way for later this year or potentially this fall. Very excited to bring the new music I’ve been writing to the fans! “Rattlesnake Bite” is a great lead off but there are so many more that I’m super proud of and can’t wait to reveal! Thank you so much for your time! 🤘🏼❤️🤘🏼
