UPtv Kicks Off The Year With 11 Premiere Movies


UPtv, the television home for uplifting entertainment, announced the network’s first quarter programming slate today. Fresh off a highly successful Christmas movie season where audience delivery outperformed YA by +11% in W2554 and +9% in HHs1 and 18M viewers tuned in2, UPtv will debut 11 premiere movies beginning with Blueprint to the Heart on Sunday, Jan 10 at 7 p.m. ET. Additionally, season three of the family drama 800 Words will premiere Friday, Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. ET.

“At UPtv, we are continuing to invest in premiere movies and series that are specifically curated to uplift our audience every day,” said Hector Campos, vice president, content strategy and programming at UPtv. “Our schedule is filled with programming that delivers on this promise with a special emphasis on our ‘Love Sundays’ weekly Sunday night movie premiere. With the recently launched My UPtv Movies App, it’s easier than ever before for viewers to learn more and set reminders for our new movies.”

The My UPtv Movies app allows viewers to learn more about upcoming movies on the network, watch movie previews and request personalized showtime alerts. Viewers can also favorite movie titles to add to a personal collection to easily access them later, check off the movies watched, set calendar reminders and request push notifications.

The 11 movies set to debut in Q1 include:

Blueprint to the Heart – Sunday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. ET

A talented host and designer of a high-end renovation television show is forced to change her show format to include life makeovers as well after her ratings dip. However, when she tries to upscale the handsome and down-to-Earth subject of her first episode, she must choose between chasing ratings or following her heart.

The Baby Proposal – Sunday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. ET

Layla Bennett has it all figured out, her own place, a thriving career and a loving fiancé. She co-hosts morning show “Wake Up Chicago!” alongside her charming, but sometimes irritating colleague Derek Dray. They have different working styles – she likes to be spontaneous and improvise on air, while he’s more of a stick to the script guy. When they’re given the bombshell of caring for a baby together, it’s their worst nightmare…but as they juggle night feeds and nap times with their hectic lives, they can’t deny the growing chemistry. Is this unexpected arrival all they needed to realize they were meant to be?

Romance Retreat – Sunday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. ET

But maybe the universe has put her here for a reason because the handsome loner staying at the lodge turns out to be Stefan Gonzales, the tech guru at the center of the scandal. As she gains his trust to expose him, she finds herself falling in love with him. Now she must use the lessons from yoga to choose: the perfect story or the perfect man?

Made For You, With Love – Sunday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. ET

Sincerely, Yours Truly – Sunday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. ET

The Dating List – Sunday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. ET

However, as the agent works with her client on a new cookbook, playfully clashing over everything from ingredients to tastes, she must choose between following the directions or following her heart.

My Birthday Romance – Sunday, March 7 at 7 p.m. ET

Charm of Love – Sunday, March 14 at 7 p.m. ET
