2020 was a very different year, especially in how it affected the event, entertainment, and restaurant industries. Despite the physical, emotional, and psychological toll we endured throughout the course of this trying year, there were still glimpses of hope, strength, and unity to help keep us going. Communities came together through art, kindness, and innovation. For some of us, there was an opportunity to reflect on the things that truly matter, to make the most of what you have, and to take the time to enjoy what you can out of life.
The Harlton Empire would like to thank all front line and essential workers. We are deeply grateful to you for all the sacrifices that you and your family have made and continue to make.
*Notes From Kat: We attended events and experiences until it was no longer safe to do so due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Later in the summer, after Toronto’s first wave had subsided, we carefully and responsibly planned a few outings. We wore masks and practiced social distancing and good hygiene at all times. After the 2nd wave started in the fall, we limited our activities to the outdoors only.
