We said goodbye to the last long weekend of summer, with an afternoon high tea at Toronto’s Windsor Arms Hotel. The Windsor Arms Hotel has been serving afternoon tea since 1927 and includes hand-crafted pastries, traditional tea sandwiches, English scones, and a variety of preserves, all freshly prepared in-house on a daily basis.
The Windsor Arms offers a diverse, carefully curated selection of over thirty loose leaf teas. You can choose from an array of flavours from Russian Caravan to Sencha, including organic, fair-trade blends. We tried the Snow White (white tea) that featured hints of apple, and the Once Upon a Tea (tisane) featuring chocolate Bits, vanilla, fruit Blend, organic mint and organic rooibos.
Our tea service also include freshly baked plain and raisin scones, as well as the following savories included: Goat Cheese & Caramelized Shallot Quiche, Sous Vide Turkey, Bacon Powder & Tomato Jam, English Cucumber, Watercress & Cream Cheese, Saffron Infused Shrimp Salad with Pea Puree & Pea Tendrils, Classic Egg Salad Roulade, and Smoked Salmon on Black Bread with Red Onion, Fresh Dill, Salmon Caviar, Crème Fraiche.
