UPtv recently released their list of new movies for the 2018 holiday season, which includes seven U.S. premiere movies.

Premiering on Sunday November 11th at 7PM ET is “Chandler Christmas Getaway” Starring Malinda Williams, Victoria Rowell, Greg Allen Williams, and DeEtta West.

About The Movie:

The Chandler family is back for another family Christmas adventure! Not finding any Christmas spirit during a hot December, the Chandlers to pack up and head to a cabin for maximum holiday fun. But with old feuds, new feuds and a heap of holiday stress, the Chandler family will have to pull together to make this the best Christmas ever.

We had the chance to catch up with star DeEtta West and discuss her role, her favorite Christmas movie and holiday traditions.

Kat: Was there anything about your role that was particularly challenging?
DeEtta: There is a scene where the sisters get into a very heated argument/confrontation. We have never had a scene like this in any of the 5 movies that we have done together. That scene pulled so much emotions out of all of us. Lots of tears, emotional reveals, expressed heartache and words of anger were delivered, but healing came after the storm.

Kat: What was your favorite scene to shoot and why? (without giving away spoilers)
DeEtta: The loving moment that I shared with my adopted daughter (played by Nadej Bailey) in the kitchen.

Kat: Do you have a favorite Christmas movie?
DeEtta: Ebenezer Scrooge

Kat: Do you or your family have any special holiday traditions?
DeEtta: After our amazing Christmas dinner, which I prepare with love and lots of seasonings, with all of the trimmings, we love to dig in and play cards, dominos and board games. Then we go to sleep!!

Kat: What is the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?
DeEtta: The birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
