UPtv recently released their list of new movies for the 2017 holiday season as part of their “We Get Christmas” campaign.
Premiering on Sunday November 12 at 7PM ET is “A Very Country Christmas” Starring Greyston Holt and Bea Santos.
About The Movie:
A country music star leaves it all behind to get back to his roots and find his way back to what he really loves. What he doesn’t expect to find – is true love.
We had the chance to catch up with star Greyston Holt about his role, meeting celebrities and his favorite holiday movie.
Kat: Was there anything about your role that was particularly challenging?
GH: I found the “singing” parts more difficult than I had anticipated. I was essentially lip syncing to a guide track but I found it quite hard to make it feel believable. I hope I pulled it off!!!
Kat: What was your favorite scene to shoot and why? (without giving away spoilers)
GH: I loved my scene on stage with Deana Carter. She’s such an incredible talent and to share the stage with her was a great privilege.
Kat: What’s your favorite Christmas movie?
GH: A Christmas Story.
Kat: Do you or your family have any special holiday traditions?
GH: My parents and I used to have a little outdoor fire on Christmas Eve where we’d roast marshmallows then dip them in Bailey’s.
Kat: Have you ever been star struck by a celebrity? Or, met a celebrity and not realize who they are?
GH: A couple of years ago my girlfriend and I went to one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants in London. We were in the midst of enjoying an incredible meal when the man himself walked in. I recall going completely flush and being unable to finish the conversation I was having. Since my girlfriend’s back was to the restaurant’s entrance, therefore not seeing Mr. Ramsay’s grand arrival, she didn’t initially understand the symptoms of being ‘star struck’ manifesting in my body. Rosy cheeks and stuttering.
