About The Movie:

Pop superstar Adelaide Kay is so fed up with her controlling manager that she sneaks off the tour bus after their latest squabble. Though exhilarated to be free, she finds herself stranded in the freezing cold of a Pennsylvania winter, with no money and no plan. A local family, the Lapps, take her in. They know the true meaning of the season, even if they’re close to losing their dairy farm. No one in the family recognizes Adelaide except Dillon, the oldest son. He figures she’s the ticket to fast cash and plots to snap photos of Adelaide around the farm and sell them to the tabs. What he doesn’t plan, however, is their mutual attraction.

We had the chance to catch up with star Kevin McGarry about his role, meeting celebrities and his favorite holiday movie.

Kat: Was there anything about your role that was particularly challenging?
KM: You know, honestly the most challenging part for me was not spontaneously bursting out laughing. I had such a fun shoot with the cast and crew, and they were so funny and talented. It was a joy to go to work on this movie everyday.

Kat: What was your favorite scene to shoot and why? (without giving away spoilers)
KM: Probably the last scene of the movie. Oddly enough it was the last shooting day as well, (which rarely happens as most days are shot out of chronological order) We had done all the leg work already, so this scene was just a fun way to say goodbye to everything… I also may or may have not been able to live out my rockstar fantasy.

Kat: What’s your favorite Christmas movie?
KM: Oh, they come and go. Recently “Home Alone” has come back into my life. But I guess the most constant traditional watching is “It’s A Wonderful Life”.

Kat: Do you or your family have any special holiday traditions?
KM: As we’ve all grown up and moved in our own directions it’s been hard to sustain any particular traditions. But one that sticks to mind when I was younger was the lovely tradition of not being able to open up presents until my mom and dad had finished their breakfasts. And somehow, for whatever reason they ALWAYS wanted a second bowl of cereal on Christmas morning! It was agony.

Kat: Have you ever been starstruck by a celebrity? or, met a celebrity and not realize who they are?
KM: I make it my mission to know everything, about every celebrity. I subscribe to all the tabloids… but seriously, Yes (to both) all the time.

A Song For Christmas” premieres on Saturday, November 11 at 9/8c.
