Actor Ash Catherwood is starring in the new Lifetime Movie Network film “My Husband’s Killer Affair” which will premiere Thursday, June 6, (8/7c) on LMN.
When Michelle Clark hires young Melissa Juneau as her new live-in nanny, she has no idea the grave danger that she has put her family in; not only has Melissa had an affair with her husband, but she is also under the cruel control of Carlton Clark (portrayed by Ash), Michelle’s greedy brother-in-law. Carlton has his heart set on Michelle, as well as the Clark’s family fortune and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals.

I had the opportunity to chat with Ash about his role, what fans can expect and more.
Kat: You star as Carlton in the new Lifetime Movie Network film, “My Husband’s Killer Affair” which makes its premiere on June 6th. How did you prepare for your role? Did you find any similarities between yourself and your character?
Ash: Character discussions off the bat! The prep work for this one wasn’t too complicated. I fit into Carlton’s shoes pretty easily. Most characters on-screen tend toward inflation or deflation of aspects of our own personalities. And that’s the beauty of the job- in movies we can stretch these aspects of our personalities into action, and really get to play out some extreme situations that hopefully we would never do in real life. It’s all a blast.
Kat: What can fans expect from your character?
Ash: Carlton is a delightfully complicated and layered onion. Lots of competing drives and motivations that all lead to the same thing- a bitter taste in the mouth.
Kat: Was there anything about your role that was particularly challenging?
Ash: Due to an injury, and hilariously timed bad luck, I literally wasn’t able to sit down for the first few days of production. The cast and crew were all very supportive, and they were all very patient with me laying down between scenes to give my feet a break. Many thanks to everyone for the support!
Kat: What were some of your favorite scenes to shoot and why?
Ash: It’s so hard to pick and choose when doing a film with a team of this caliber. I have so many great memories with each of the other actors- I think we really found so many great moments together. And having Roxanne at the helm makes every scene a blast!

Kat: Is there a type of character that you’d like to portray, that you haven’t had the chance to yet?
Ash: I feel like I’m inching closer and closer to finding the dream character. I’ve been blessed, and have had opportunities to play all kinds of characters in my career. Though, admittedly, playing a hard boiled captain of a spaceship who fist fights aliens? That would be pretty great.
Kat: Do you have anything else planned for 2024 that you can share?
Ash: Sadly, nothing I can share. Which is the curse of the industry isn’t it? I’ve always got projects in the works.
