Pink Sky Toronto

Summerlicious, the annual program which celebrates the best of Toronto’s diverse culinary scene, returned from July 7 to July 23, 2023.

Offering inventive three-course menus at over 200+ participating restaurants, with various lunch and dinner price points, it’s one of the most popular ways to get a taste of the city.

We decided to visit Pink Sky Toronto, which is a sea-to-fork restaurant offering a hearty menu of exquisitely fresh seafood, inspired craft cocktails and chilled pints. Equal parts local neighbourhood favourite and ‘night out’ destination, Pink Sky is a seafood lover’s mecca with a raw bar offering selections of east and west coast oysters, ceviche, crudo, a Daily Catch Menu, along with a selection of the freshest shellfish.

For appetizers we had the Shrimp Cocktail (Classic cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon) and the Wedge Salad (Buttermilk ranch dressing, cherry tomatoes, grilled corn, blue cheese, fried onion, bacon).

For mains we enjoyed the Mussels (white wine, fennel, tarragon, leeks, shallot, parsley, grilled bread, frites) as well as the Grilled Salmon (sautéed spinach, grilled fennel, lemon butter sauce).

For cocktails we had the Salt & Smoke (Dewar’s white label scotch, johnnie walker black, apricot brandy, salted honey, lemon, islay mist) which is also available as a non-alcoholic option with seedlip spice. As well as the Bright & Sunny Mocktail (cucumber juice, ginger beer, lime, simple syrup) and the Mionetto Prosecco NV (Glera Veneto, Italy).

For dessert we had all 3 Summerlicious options which included the Cheesecake (Ontario stone fruit, chantilly cream, honey), the Banoffee Pie (dulce de leche, banana, cinnamon, white chocolate chantilly, candied hazelnut), and the Chocolate Olive Oil Cake (chocolate mousse, praline, toasted almond ice cream).

Pink Sky had been on our list for a while, and we were excited to finally enjoy it. We had an amazing dining experience, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive, and we can’t wait to go back.
