Hedy Nasser stars alongside Johnathan Stoddard in “Finding Love In Big Sky” a new UPtv movie premiering Sunday, September 11, 2022.
Hedy portrays Paisley, who is an independent country girl reluctantly accepting her ex-boyfriend’s help to refurbish her grandfather’s ranch, which reignites their long-lost love.
We had the opportunity to chat with Hedy about her role, what she hopes the audience connects with and what’s next.
Kat: How did you prepare for your role in “Finding Love In Big Sky”? Did you find any similarities between yourself and your character?
Hedy: I had about 2 weeks to prepare and memorize the whole script which wasn’t a lot of time but I managed to spend everyday leading up studying and studying Paisley’s relationship with the other characters, especially Josh. I found how strong and independent she was and related it to how I am in my everyday life. She had a plan and went after it and I find myself doing that everyday.
Kat: Was there anything about your role that was particularly challenging?
Hedy: The most challenging part was working with the horses. I had never rode a horse before this film and having lines while managing to keep the horse still was a fun little adventure haha.
Kat: What were some of your favorite scenes to shoot and why?
Hedy: I have so many, oh my! Honestly, every day of filming in Montana was wonderful. I would say the snowmobiling scene was SO much fun. The dancing in the bar scene, the axe throwing scene and of course the ball at the end of the film.
Kat: What do you hope the audience takes from the movie?
Hedy: I hope the audience can feel the love & lightness this film exudes. I hope it will encourage people to follow their dreams and care for those around them!
Kat: What’s next?
Hedy: Well, I continue to study and audition. I’ve been blessed to work as much as I have and I know there is much more to come!
