Stephanie Bennett stars alongside Jesse Hutch and Brendan J. Rowland in “Love, Bubbles & Crystal Cove” a new UPtv movie premiering Sunday, September 4, 2022.
Stephanie portrays Skye, who is preparing for another great year of her business ‘Lather and Luxury’ when her childhood sweetheart Gavin arrives in town to help improve her business model. As they spend more time together, sparks fly and they find that the true luxury of life is falling in love.

We had the opportunity to chat with Stephanie about her role, what she hopes the audience connects with and what’s next.
Kat: How did you prepare for your role in “Love, Bubble & Crystal Cove”? Did you find any similarities between yourself and your character?
Stephanie: My character, Skye, owns a bath and body store and specializes in helping customers improve their self care. I was lucky to be cast in this role because I’ve always had a passion for skincare and beauty so my interests really aligned with Skye’s, and I enjoyed learning even more about skin care as I prepared for those scenes. In the film, Skye is passionate about saving her business, so It was important for me to focus on how I could relate to her in my own career and the passion that I have for acting.
Kat: Was there anything about your role that was particularly challenging?
Stephanie: Many of the scenes involved a variety of props as we were making bath bombs or showcasing ingredients. I remember it being challenging to say all of our lines and stay connected in the scenes while the bath bombs were fizzing and there were so many props involved. However, the set always smelled amazing so that was a silver lining!
Kat: What were some of your favorite scenes to shoot and why?
Stephanie: I’ve been lucky enough to film a number of movies in The Okanagan, and I love shooting there because of the beautiful locations. All of our locations were amazing, but I especially enjoyed our scenes at the local wineries where I was able to meet the owners and the views were spectacular. You’ll see that so many of the scenes have gorgeous backdrops, which really helped set the tone for me.

Kat: What do you hope the audience takes from the movie?
Stephanie: I love that the film is centered around a female small business owner, and her resilience to keep her dream alive. I hope it inspires young women to work hard and pursue their goals.
Kat: What’s next?
Stephanie: I am leading two movies that will be released soon, one of which was also filmed in The Okanagan. Both films are very sweet romantic comedies and I’m really excited to share them. Stay tuned!
