With an eclectic taste in both music and fashion, stemming from his background as an international runway and fashion model, strutting for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Versace and Dior, Andreww has acquired a unique talent for integrating sounds, elements, themes and emotions from other genres and combining them to create his own dynamic soundscapes and ‘Shadow Love’ is a prime example of his expertise.
We had the opportunity to chat with Andreww about his new single “Shadow Love”, what he’s learned from his modelling career and what’s next.
Kat: How would you describe your style or sound of music?
Andreww: 90s guitars, 2000s pop vocals and 2020 trap beats.
Kat: Can you talk about the inspiration behind your latest single “Shadow Love”?
Andreww: I figured the song out long after it was written. Unconsciously I was processing a very destructive time of my life where I enjoyed being reckless.
Kat: What do you hope fans take from the track?
Andreww: Maybe it can help people that are in the same situation that they don’t have to live like that. And hopefully show that you can use as many genres as you want!
Kat: What do you find is the most challenging part of your creative process?
Andreww: Waiting in between putting things out. You have to have a lot of patience.
Kat: Has your modeling career taught you anything that has been useful musically?
Andreww: Through traveling the world and hearing so much different music it’s made it easier for me to keep adding genres. The more you know the more you can compare.
Kat: What’s next?
Andreww: Couple more singles coming and then end of the year the album!
