The all-new original scripted series, The Wedding Planners, makes its U.S. premiere on March 5th on The Roku Channel, the home of free and premium entertainment on the Roku® platform. Produced by Brain Power Studio, the series follows a family of wedding planners as they create dream weddings for new couples-to-be, but not without their own behind-the-scenes family drama and complicated relationships. Season one will be available on The Roku Channel with eight one-hour episodes.
Featuring an ensemble cast, the romantic comedy follows the ups-and-downs of siblings: Paige (Kimberly Sue-Murray, Shadowhunters, V Wars), the young mom balancing work and family, pressured to be perfect under not-so-perfect circumstances; James (Michael Seater, Life with Derek, Bomb Girls), the New York City fashion designer with a troubled past; and Hannah (Madeline Leon, Workin’ Moms, After The Storm), the peacekeeper with a kind heart and adventurous spirit who is also looking for love.
“We are thrilled to be launching The Wedding Planners in the U.S. on The Roku Channel after the show’s success in other territories,” said Beth Stevenson, Executive Producer and Founder of Brain Power Studio. “The combination of these sassy siblings and wedding drama, jam packs each episode with great entertainment value.”
