Celebrate All Things Nerdy at Toronto ComiCon 2020

From actors who have appeared in sci-fi classics Star Wars and The Terminator to family friendly fare such as Hocus Pocus, Toronto ComiCon 2020 boasts an impressive guest line-up that’s sure to please geeks and nerds of all ages.

Best known for his role as space-faring tough guy Jayne Cobb on Joss Whedon’s cult sci-fi show Firefly and the first Independence Day movie, actor Adam Baldwin will make an appearance at the event. Doctor Who fans will be please to know that the fifth Doctor from the classic series, Peter Davidson, will also be at TCC this year.

The Terminator is a certified classic and the original Kyle Reese, Michael Biehn will be there to sign autographs and meet fans. There’s no shortage of actors who have appeared in family-friendly fare including Hocus Pocus star Kathy Najimy and the OG Red Power Ranger Austin St. John.

He may have appeared under prosthetics but Tim Rose’s role as Admiral Ackbar in Return of the Jedi is one of the most memorable of the original Star Wars trilogy. Rose isn’t the only Star Wars alum to appear at this year’s event. BB8, the scrappy droid from the new trilogy has quickly become a fan favorite and Brian Herring, the puppeteer between the lovable character, will also make an appearance.

An actor from another epic trilogy, The Lord of the Rings, Craig Parker is also slated to appear. Best known for his role as Haldir in the LoTR, Parker is no stranger to genre roles with parts in Xena: Warrior Princess, Agents of SHIELD and more.

Robot Chicken is known for its biting skewering of pop culture and one of the creative minds behind the show, Breckin Meyer, will be there to answer any questions fans may have about his myriad of roles on the show.

WWE legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts will also appear at TCC 2020.

A convention just wouldn’t be complete without celebrity cosplayers and this year’s event boasts an impressive line-up including Jillea, Violet Love, Lee Howard, Married Makers, The Cosplay Sisters and much more. The Cosplay Sisters have cosplayed as The Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus so hopefully that costume will make an appearance in honour of Kathy Naijimy’s appearance.

In addition, an number of comic creators will also be in attendance to sign autographs as well as offer aspiring artists advice.

The convention floor in the Metro Toronto Convention Center’s South Building will also offer shopping for anyone looking for that perfect gift for the geek or nerd on their list or anyone looking for something to complete their collection.
