This past weekend we visited Toronto’s iconic castle, Casa Loma for a special Winterlicious afternoon high tea. The tea featured a sample of teas, scones, mini croissants, pastries, strawberries and cream, crumpets with flavoured butters and tea sandwiches.
Highlights included the dessert (of course) and the Cool as a Cucumber non-alcoholic drink, which featured cucumber, pear, lime, mint and soda. ($8)
The afternoon also included a live musical performance on a harp and violin, as well as a 20 ft (6.1m) cake tower, which apparently is the tallest in the world.
