Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and whether your single or just want to appreciate the special women in your life, we’ve got everything you need to host the perfect “Galentine’s Night In”. Below are some ideas and inspiration to help get you started.

Decor: It should be pretty easy to find inspiration with a quick scroll through Pinterest or Instagram (use #Galentines or #GalentinesDay). One of the easiest ways to change the vibe of any room is with flowers. You don’t have to be super organized with them, just grab a few varieties in pink, red and white and arrange them throughout the space.

Other simple decor ideas that can make any space magical include fairy lights, wreaths, and balloons.

Entertainment: There’s obviously a never ending list of romantic movies you could choose from like To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Notebook, About Time, Pretty Woman etc. If TV is more your thing, channels like Hallmark and Lifetime have movies that are specifically Valentine’s Day themed. If comedy is more your style, try Bridemaids, Wine Country, or Sisters. Or if female empowerment is what you’re looking for try Hidden Figures, Ocean’s 8, The Devil Wears Prada or Thelma & Louise. Additional ideas could include board games like Marry, Date or Dump, and Mystery Date Catfished, or mani/pedi’s, face masks/makeovers or craft making, painting or cooking together.

Food: Let the women in your life know how much they mean to you with a decadent and luxurious charcuterie board.

Grab a couple of heart-shaped dishes for candy and then add strawberries, bananas, raspberries, apple slices, popcorn, nuts, chocolate (and chocolate fondue!), cupcakes, cookies, macarons cotton candy or any other treats you know your friends will love.

Drinks: Hot chocolate, coffee, and tea are always great, and during this time of year you can often find specialty options for all of the above. If you’re looking for something more ‘adult’, think prosecco, champagne, wine or pink colored cocktails. For those not drinking, try flavored sparkling water, soda or smoothies.

We hope you love what we recommend! Just so you know, The Harlton Empire may collect a small share of sales from the links on this page.
