Bean & Baker Malt Shop was born out of an idea to establish the revival of the soda fountain malt shop in Toronto. Celebrating the contemporary Canadiana malt shop, it is influenced by the retro-era luncheonette experience. The soda fountain has found its home once again in the Harbord Street neighbourhood. Owners Liezel and Brennan Anderson, a husband and wife team, invite you into their mom n’ pop style establishment for an experience that is nostalgic as it is charming. Their goal is to provide good, honest food and drinks with top-notch quality ingredients. Time travel to yesteryear and rock ‘n roll your way to the open-concept kitchen to witness the young Soda Jerk and Baker whip up hand-crafted sodas, shakes and floats, and mouth-watering sweet and savoury delights. Enjoy a seat inside or savour your treats to-go across the street in Bickford Park. Whether it is for a morning coffee, a quick bite or a nostalgic date destination, Bean & Baker Malt Shop looks forward to providing a friendly and unique neighbourhood experience, knowing that your first visit won’t be your last.
