Across The Board (ATB) is an award-winning Canadian indie rock band of multi-instrumental musicians with over 600 youtube videos and several global and national indie music awards, including an Indie Music Channel Hall of Fame award for charting #4 on the iTunes Rock chart with their 2018 album “Sonic Boom”, and charting top 20 just hours after the release of their 2019 album “Wild Ones” which they showcased at a sold-out concert at Toronto’s iconic Opera House in March.
ATB was nominated for a GMA Covenant Award in 2019, 4 Josie music awards in 2018 and will be hosting Toronto’s “Rock The Cure” breast cancer fundraiser for CIBC’s Run For The Cure this fall.
We had the opportunity to catch up with Jacqueline Auguste lead singer from ‘Across The Board’ who shared some of her favorite summer things and where we can catch the band next.
Kat: Do you have a favorite childhood summer memory?
Jacqueline: I grew up at a beach-side cottage on Pigeon Lake near Camrose, Alberta- Canada–a small prairie community next to a native reservation. Summers were all about water sports, campfires and sing-a-longs. I learned how to play a guitar and jam tunes with local musicians and it was these campfires and summer evenings that sparked my interest in pursuing music!
Kat: Do You Have A Favorite Summer Song or Movie?
Jacqueline: Grease! I love that moving…totally remind me of summer love, summer fun and the harsh reality of BACK TO SCHOOL!!
Kat: Do you have a favorite summer treat or drink?
Jacqueline: Slushie from 7-11 in my home town–anything blue-colored.
Kat: Do you have a favorite summer activity?
Jacqueline: Windsurfing, outdoor concerts and driving in convertibles on a sunny day!
Kat: Where can we see you this summer?
Jacqueline: We are on tour! Our band ACROSS THE BOARD will be touring throughtout Ontario and into Quebec, Canada. We will be taking an RV and making our away across the tour schedule on a massive camping trip! Cannot wait! You can check out our website for touring schedules!
