Sara Rue (“All for Love,” A Map of the World) and Jordan Bridges (“Christmas at Holly Lodge,” Den of Thieves) star in “True Love Blooms” a new, original movie premiering Saturday, April 6 (8 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s “Spring Fever” event.

About The Movie:

Vikki (Rue) runs the community garden, threatened by Chace (Bridges), a developer who wants to replace it with condos. Determined to stop him, Vikki goes to his office with a peace lily, hoping to help the businessman see green in a different way. While he’s taken by Vikki’s drive, Chace says the project will go on, notwithstanding her petitions or protests. She explains the garden was her dad’s passion project before he died, and he reveals his father passed away when he was young, leaving him to take care of his mom.

Wanting to prove he’s not a villain, Chace takes Vikki to a construction site, where she sees how it’s a source of pride to him and all the workers involved. But despite seeing the other’s viewpoint, they remain at an impasse. Unwilling to give up, Vikki crashes the Mayoral Gala to ask the Mayor to declare the garden a landmark, and there she spots Chace, who asks her to dance. Though they’re clearly enthralled with each other, Chace still lets his bulldozers roll and Vikki wants nothing to do with him. Hopefully he’ll look find a way to hurtle their impasse, which might just be in the sky.

“True Love Blooms” is a Sweet Tomato Films production. Lincoln Lageson and Sara Rue are the executive producers, and Elayne Schneiderman Schmidt and Charles Cooper serve as producers. Matthew Diamond directs from a screenplay by Elias Madias.
