This past Thursday evening, members of the media were given an advance sneak peek at the beautiful Walt Disney Canada Beauty and the Beast exhibit at Casa Loma. On display now until Monday (Feb 20th), the exhibit is in advance of the March 17th release of the film, a live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic.
Open all weekend, including Family Day Monday, Casa Loma invites guests to view 9 costumes from the upcoming film, as well as special performances that include aerialists and ballroom dancers. There also will be a storytelling area, bouncy castle, face painting, arts and crafts, a behind the scenes video and a tour through the ‘enchanted tunnel’.
For an extra interactive experience, Walt Disney Canada has created a special Snapchat filter, as well as a hashtag of #BeOurGuestTO. The castle is offering extended hours and a 20% discount when you use the ‘Be Our Guest‘ promo code.
The only place in Canada where fans can view the costumes, Casa Loma’s castle-like atmosphere indeed is the perfect setting for this enchanted experience.
Our sneak peek included music by a string orchestra that played classic songs from the film such as the Beauty and the Beast theme and featured complimentary food and drinks, which included a specially created cocktail called the “Enchanted Rose” made with Prosecco and a splash of raspberry.
We had such a wonderful time, and despite being to Casa Loma numerous times before, we felt as if we got to experience it in a different way. The Liberty Group and Disney Canada used the castle’s features to their advantage and did a truly amazing job without trying to morph it into becoming something else.
We highly encourage anyone who is a fan of Disney or Beauty and the Beast to see this beautiful exhibit. For tickets and pricing please visit: http://www.casaloma.ca/casafeature2.html
