Award-winning country-rock trio The Road Hammers exploded into 2026 with their hard-hitting new single “Till The Wheels Fall Off,” which was released January 9, 2026, via Skysong Records. The track arrived as the band headed out for their Till The Wheels Fall Off Canadian tour dates with Doc Walker into February 2026.
Built on roaring guitars, diesel-strength momentum, and the kind of grit only true road warriors can deliver, “Till The Wheels Fall Off” is a full-throttle anthem for anyone who refuses to quit. The song features powerhouse contributions from two icons of Canadian rock: Ian Thornley (Big Wreck) on guitar and Tyler Connolly (Theory of a Deadman) on vocals – adding extra octane to a track already primed for the fast lane.
Rooted in the band’s signature blend of classic trucker-country grit and hard-edged rock power, the single embodies everything The Road Hammers stand for: persistence, passion, and pedal-to-the-floor determination. It’s a rallying call for the long-haulers, the dream-chasers, and anyone who runs on heart instead of luck.
Fans can also watch a high-voltage music video directed by Travis Nesbitt – shot on location at Dinosaur Downs Speedway in Drumheller, AB – that captures the raw, full-tilt spirit of the song.
“Till The Wheels Fall Off” follows the band’s 2025 single “Dirty Hands Clean Money” and signals another major step in their creative resurgence under the Skysong Records banner, the boutique label co-founded by McCoy and Bellamy alongside platinum-selling artist Dan Davidson and business partner Craig Senyk.
Formed in 2004, The Road Hammers are widely regarded as trailblazers of Canadian country rock. With over 60 million global streams, multiple gold and platinum certifications, six CCMA Awards, and a JUNO Award, the trio has built a legacy on high-octane songwriting, top-tier musicianship, and unforgettable live performances. Steeped in 1960s and 70s trucker-country roots, their music continues to evolve with a bold, modern punch that resonates across generations of fans.

I had the opportunity to chat with Clayton Bellamy about the band’s new single, their creative process, career highlights and what’s next.
Kat: Can you talk about the inspiration behind your new single “Till The Wheels Fall Off”?
Clayton: I think the inspiration for this track really came from wanting to capture the band’s energy when we are performing live. This is the first song we’ve ever written while recording it in the studio, so it’s really just what we came up with as we were creating. It is one of the most exciting tracks we’ve ever put to tape. Our producer, Allen Salmon, was instrumental in helping us let go of any hang-ups or old ways of doing things and just let us go where the music took us.
Kat: What do you hope fans take from the track?
Clayton: The main thing we want our fans to take from this track is a song they can crank up to 11! We pride ourselves on making music for the hard-working blue-collar people of this country, and that’s what this is – fist-pumping, foot-stomping rock ‘n’ roll.
Kat: What do you find is the most challenging part of your creative process?
Clayton: I think as you get better at anything, sometimes the most challenging part of the creative process is getting out of your own way. Not overthinking things, not trying to make it perfect, but really trying to make it impactful. Something that is raw and imperfect can be way more meaningful at times, and as musicians, we want to keep making it the best it can be. This song was a situation where we didn’t think about it at all, we just let it all hang out. And having Ian Thornley from Big Wreck and Tyler Connolly from Theory add their super rock ‘n’ roll Powers to the track made it even more exciting for us!
Kat: What has been a career highlight for you so far? What have you learned along the way?
Clayton: We’ve had so many amazing career highlights in the 20 years. We’ve been a band from playing the Grand Old Opry to touring with bands like the Scorpions, Nickelback, and Big Wreck. There’s been a lot of pinch me moments over the years, especially when you get to meet your heroes and then make music together. It’s pretty wild. The one thing I think I’ve learned after doing it for this long is just to keep going and not stop living a creative life, and everything else will just fall into place.
Kat: What’s next?
Clayton: We are heading out on tour across Canada in January and February, and then we will be out on the road all summer playing festivals and promoting the new record. We’ve got shows in the US and in Australia planned, and looking forward to making lots of new fans and putting on lots of miles in the new year!
