Now, currently based in London, band members Ollie, Will, Adriano and Callum deliver an infectious, breezy sound, planting palm trees and warm summer memories in your head. Lining every open road with a feeling that the sun’s still shining and driving you and your soul to somewhere light, bright and boozy, Coral Palms create a sound which is truly addictive.

Coral Palms are a four-piece indie pop band.

We had the opportunity to chat with Coral Palms about their latest single “Echoes”, what they hope fans take from the track, and what’s next.

Kat: Can you talk about the inspiration behind your latest single “Echoes”?

Coral Palms: ‘Echoes’ is at the heart of it, a song about coming out of the other end of a break-up as a stronger person. Musically, it’s the first song we ever wrote, so it really captures our indie influences of Foals, Two Door and Arctic Monkeys.

Kat: What do you hope fans take from the track?

Coral Palms: We hope they just love it! That they want to see it live at a festival or that it’s on their go to playlist for getting pumped to go for a night out!

Kat: What do you find is the most challenging part of your creative process?

Coral Palms: There’s so many ideas that we all have collectively and individually about how something should sound or the writing process of a song. Sometimes we need to give ourselves limitations to stop ourselves from suffering from the agony of too many possibilities.

Kat: What has been a career highlight for you so far? What have you learned along the way?

Coral Palms: I think being played on BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio before ‘Echoes’ was even released was a huge boost for us and really set the bar for how and who we want our music to be received by.

I think we’ve all learned not to count numbers, but to keep making the music we love and following the path we pave for ourselves.

Kat: What’s next?

Coral Palms: Live shows! We are planning a hometown tour of each of our individual areas of southern England! Possibly support slots and university freshers tours as and when they return. Anything live, we are there!

We’ve got the last of our first 3 singles coming out very soon as well so stay tuned for that!
