Obviously food donation anytime of year, especially during the holidays is always appreciated. This year the Covid-19 pandemic has affected our entire community, and the number of those without jobs and loss of income has risen dramatically. Below are some suggestions on how you can donate food to those less fortunate within Toronto.

Fire Halls

-Residents and businesses who can, are encouraged to drop off essentials at their local fire hall.

Daily Bread Food Bank

-Order online from your favourite grocery store and have items delivered directly to their warehouse: 191 New Toronto Street, Toronto, ON, M8V 2E7.

-Make a monetary donation

-Online Fundraising: You can run an online fundraiser in support of Daily Bread Food Bank. It’s easy and you can do it while #stayinghome. Click here to set up your custom donation page.

North York Harvest Food Bank

-North York Harvest accepts non-perishable donations at grocery drop-off locations

-They also accept fresh (unprepared) food donations at their main office and warehouse location.

The Stop

-The Stop would prefer monetary donations at this time, as it allows the organization to easily purchase emergency supplies on an as-needed basis. Visit thestop.org
