When a sociopath begins crafting a female suit out of real women, FBI agent-in-training Clarice Starling interviews the doctor, asking for his help. The chemistry between them sizzles onscreen even though they never share more than a fleeting touch. While gruesome, Dr. Lecter’s thrilling escape from the authorities leaves you cheering, albeit a bit sheepishly.
6. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Want some gore so realistic, your partner will bury their head in your shoulder? The original “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” combines the “don’t do drugs or have sex or else” fun of ’70s slasher flicks with the sobering reality the film was based upon — the real-life exploits of serial killer Ed Gein.
Check all the locks on your windows and doors, turn down the lights and snuggle up.
You’re likely familiar with the infamous diner scene from this all-time classic. If not, you’re in for a ride if you and your SO are watching “When Harry Met Sally” for the first time.
