This past weekend we visited the Library Bar at Fairmont Royal York, for a special Downton Abbey themed tea to celebrate Downton Abbey, The Movie . The tea featured pastries from the official Downton Abbey Cookbook, prizes for best-dressed, and Downton Abbey series trivia. (click on photos to enlarge)
We tried the Bohemian Raspberry (Lot 35 Loose Leaf Tea) — Spritely notes of raspberry come to the fore with smooth overtones of green tea. A perfect raspberry jam finish. (Soo delicious!)
We also tried the Oolong Sweet Watermelon (Lot 35 Loose Leaf Tea) — A bright and sparkling yellowish cup boasts flavours of Fujian Oolong, ripe and juicy watermelon and subtle notes of papaya an plum.
As well as a selection of pastries, traditional finger sandwiches, and late summer Ontario Penny Jams.
