Julie Gonzalo (“The Sweetest Heart,” “Dallas”) and Tyler Hynes (“It’s Christmas Eve,” “Falling for You,” “UnREAL”) star in “Flip That Romance” a new, original movie premiering Saturday, March 16 (8 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s annual “Spring Fever” event.

About The Movie:

Wanting to start a business flipping fixer-uppers, Jules (Gonzalo) goes to an auction to buy half a duplex and ends up bidding against her ex Lance (Hynes). Outbidding Lance, Jules is surprised to learn he already owns the other half of the duplex. With romantic and competitive sparks flying, they challenge each other to a flipping contest. Soon word of the “dueling duplexes” reaches the editor of Innovative Designs, who offers the winner a magazine spread. But Jules must stop work on her unit when her permit doesn’t arrive. Assuring her he wasn’t involved, Lance jumps in to help and when a storm knocks out the power, they work by candlelight, rekindling their romance.

Still, the rain delays painting the exterior, and when Lance hires a crew without consulting Jules, she resents him. Confused, Lance gets some fatherly advice about relationships, while Jules, also confused, gets some motherly advice about letting go of the past. Realizing she overreacted, Jules now helps Lance with his unit, since he neglected it by helping her. With only one of their designs able to win, it could be that while they renovated their duplex, Jules and Lance flipped their romance as well.

“Flip That Romance” is a Muse Entertainment film. Joel Rice and Michael Prupas are the executive producers and Charles Cooper serves as a producer. Mark Jean directed from a screenplay by Jill Girling, Lori Mather and Nina Weinman.
