On a chilly February night, we headed over to the Fifth Pubhouse in Toronto’s Entertainment District to check out their limited time heated Heineken igloos. The #5thXHeinekenIgloo campaign was created to help Torontorians embrace the arctic climate and enjoy a night on the patio in the middle of winter.
I was skeptical of how warm they’d be, but once the heat was turned on it didn’t take long for us to be comfortably lounging without our jackets. Complete with blankets, furs and pillows it was actually relatively cozy.
We tried the Berry Cosmo (Vodka, Triple Sec, and Lime Juice with White Cranberry) $12
As well as the Negroni Rosa (Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Rose) $12.
Our favorite was by far the Irish Coffee off the Heineken Igloo menu (Jameson and Bailey’s topped with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg) $8
