Aimee Teegarden (“Friday Night Lights,” “Notorious”) and Brett Dalton (“Cooking with Love,” “Agents of Shield”) star in “Once Upon a Christmas Miracle” a new original premiering Sunday, December 2 (9 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as part of the network’s annual “Miracles of Christmas” programming event.

Once Upon A Christmas Miracle (10)

About The Movie:

This holiday romance is based on the incredible true story about organ donor Chris Dempsey and recipient Heather Krueger, who were brought into one another’s lives by a transplant surgery that led to a miraculous romance. When Heather Krueger (Teegarden) receives a serious medical diagnosis before the holidays, she and her family begin the urgent search for a donor for Heather’s life-saving liver transplant. Heather faces incredible odds against finding a match but tries to enjoy her family’s annual holiday traditions as they wait for a miracle.

When Chris Dempsey (Dalton) hears about her story, he selflessly gets tested and discovers he is a match. After talking through his decision with his mother, Judy (Lolita Davidovich, “Shades of Blue,”), Chris volunteers to donate half of his liver to give Heather a new lease on life, despite being a complete stranger. As Heather and Chris get to know one another and each other’s families before and after the transplant, they form a deep connection and begin to wonder if the closeness they feel goes beyond the special connection between organ donor and recipient. While they will always be in each other’s lives, the two must decide if Chris’ selfless act was actually the beginning of a beautiful true love story.

  1. Absolutely loved this movie.Being a donor myself, it is hard to find people that will unselfishly give a part of themselves to give life back to another. I believe that if people educated themselves more about organ donations they wouldn’t be so fearful of giving a part of themselves to save the life of a family member, a friend,& even a stranger. I & my life have been one big blessing after another since I made that life altering decision! And I thank “GOD” every day for that decision, I feel extension on my life since the surgery!!!!
Thank you HMM for such an amazing movie with an amazing storyline! I’ve hoped since surgery that I could one day tell my story & to be an advocate to those unbelievers & fearful people of the world! I am truly touched over anything concerning organ transplants! “GOD” bless both families in which this movie was documented from! And may the couple have a long blessed life together!Never underestimate the power of “GOD”!!!!!!! Merry Christmas 🎄
