Alicia Witt (“The Mistletoe Inn,” “Nashville,” “The Walking Dead”) and Colin Ferguson (“Deadly Deeds: A Fixer Upper Mystery,” “Eureka”) star in “Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane” a new original movie premiering Saturday, November 24, (9p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as part of the network’s annual “Miracles of Christmas” programming event.
About The Movie:
Now that her parents have passed, Emma (Witt) returns home to celebrate one last Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane with her siblings. But it will be a bittersweet reunion since the beloved family home will be sold after the holidays. Due to the future sale of the house, Emma enlists the owner of Memory Lane Antiques, Morgan Shelby (Ferguson) to do an appraisal of her parents’ belongings. In the process, the two discover a hidden compartment in her mother’s desk with love letters signed R.J. — not her father’s initials.
Intrigued, Emma is determined to find out who R.J. is and Morgan also gets wrapped up in the mystery as well as in Emma. She’s clearly smitten with Morgan, too, and while enjoying the town’s holiday festivities, they begin to fall in love. Morgan quickly backs off when Emma’s ex-boyfriend shows up with a marriage proposal, and Emma gets confused when Morgan shows up at the Historical Society’s gala with another woman. Misunderstandings abound around this last Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane, and the mystery of the hidden love letters has yet to be solved.
“Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane” is a Honeysuckle Lane, Inc. film in association with Synthetic Cinema International. Danielle Von Zerneck is the executive producer and Andrew Gernhard and Erica Joseph Hunter serve as producers. Maggie Greenwald directs from the screenplay by Caitlin D. Fryers, which was based on the book The House on Honeysuckle Lane by Mary McDonough.
