Since forming in 2011, Seaway has emerged as one of Toronto’s most significant pop-punk bands to come along. Seaway delivers a brand of pop punk that recalls a time when the genre centered on having fun. Comprised of Ryan Locke (vocals), Patrick Carleton (guitar, vocals), Ken Taylor (drums), Adam Shoji (bass), and Andrew Eichinger (guitar), to date, the band has released four full-length LP’s, three EP’s and has toured extensively in North America and the UK, touring alongside Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck, Silverstein, Sum 41 and many more.

5 Holiday Favorites With

We caught up with Ryan Locke who shared his favorite holiday memory, the best gift he received as a kid and his favorite holiday song.

Kat: Do you have a favorite holiday or Christmas memory?

Ryan: Not a specific memory, we are on the road so much so it’s always special getting to spend time with my extended family.

Kat: Favorite holiday movie?

Ryan: A Christmas Story has always been a tradition with my family. My dad tells us the same fun facts every time we watch it like “that scene is filmed in Toronto” but you gotta let the old guy have it.

Kat: What was your favorite gift you received as a kid?

Ryan: Getting my Nintendo 64 and playing Donkey Kong all day was the best gift I ever received. That and socks.

Kat:  Favorite holiday song?

Ryan: The Christmas Blues – Dean Martin

Kat:  Favorite holiday treat?

Ryan: Probably the entire Christmas turkey dinner spread. Turkey is my favourite thing about Christmas.
