About The Movie:

Christmas works its magic in this body-switching holiday tale about two very different moms who find that help is where you least expect it and most need it. When struggling singer Audrey and wealthy record executive Julia collide at the mall, they wake up in each other’s lives the next morning. Audrey finds that, though Julia’s life is full of luxury, she’s missing the chance to connect with her family in any real way. Julia finds that though she gets plenty of family time, Audrey can’t say no to anyone, which gives her notime for herself. As Christmas looms closer, the two women rush to figure out how to both help each other and switch back before they miss Christmas morning with their own families!

We had the chance to catch up with star Jackie Seiden and discuss her role, her favorite Christmas movie and holiday traditions.

Kat: Was there anything about your role that was particularly challenging?

JS: I had the best time on set playing these two drastically different characters! I would say the hardest part was tracking where we were in the story and who I was supposed to be at that point! Especially when I had to switch “bodies” back and forth multiple times in a single day. But I love a challenge.

Kat: What was your favorite scene to shoot and why? (without giving away spoilers)

JS: My favorite scene to shoot was in the market where we switch bodies. Visually is was STUNNING. You’ve never seen so much Christmas in one place. We had fake snow falling on us in the dead of summer. It was magical. Plus I got to spend the whole day shooting with my co-star, Ashley Wood. That was the cherry on top.

Kat: Do you have a favorite Christmas movie?

JS: Growing up my favorite Christmas movie was always “A Christmas Story.” “EAT YOUR OVALTINE” I didn’t even know what that meant! Ha!

Kat: Do you or your family have any special holiday traditions?

JS: I grew up in Chicago, so my dad would shovel the massive amounts of snow on the driveway, inevitably creating giant snowbanks. You can imagine what kind of shenanigans took place from there. My brother, sister, and I would jump in, go sledding, and having snowball fights until we were absolutely wiped out. Then we’d come into the house for hot chocolate my mom made. Turns out it was instant with those teeny marshmallows but we didn’t care! We loved it. Now What’s better than that?

Kat: What is the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?

JS: I was touring the country with the first national tour of Hairspray which I had just been cast in. I was feeling a little blue because I joined right after opening and everyone was already so bonded. Being on the road and an outsider was pretty lonely. So my parents surprised me with a visit for the holidays – in Boston I think it was? It was the absolute greatest gift of all time. (As it turns out I made lifelong friends on that tour who are like sisters to me now 15 years later! So there was a happy ending.)
