Cineplex Events Brings the Works of Hokusai to the Big Screen

Cineplex Events is pleased to announce the addition of British Museum Presents: Hokusai to the In The Gallery series that gives audiences an inside look at the world’s greatest works of art and art exhibitions.  Art lovers can discover and experience the beautiful and sublime work of one of Japan’s greatest artists, Katsushika Hokusai, regarded as Japan’s most famous and influential artist.

Hokusai’s most famous image, The Great Wave, is as widely known and copied as Leonardo’s Mona Lisa and, along with other works by the Japanese master, has helped to shape modern art as we know it today, inspiring European artists such as Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these extraordinary works together will screen at Cineplex Theatres across Canada on June 25, with an encore presentation on June 28, 2017.
