10 Tracks For Your Superbowl Party

We’ve got the perfect way to get you pumped for game time. After scouring the internet, we’ve put together the perfect tracklist for your Superbowl party.

1.  Steam-Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye

Who can forget that memorable sing-along at the funeral for team captain Bertier in Remember The Titans.

2.  Jackie DeShannon-Put A Little Love In Your Heart

Staring Matthew McConaughey,  We Are Marshall depicted the aftermath of the 1970 plane crash that killed 37 football players on the Marshall University Thundering Herd football team, along with five coaches, two athletic trainers, the athletic director, 25 boosters, and a crew of five, which makes this track from the film all that more emotional.

3.  Foo Fighters-My Hero

This Foo Fighters classic was used during the climatic scene of the final football game in Varsity Blues, which featured 90’s favorites James Van Der Beek and Paul Walker.

4. John Mellencamp-Small Town

Released in 1985, this track was featured in the 1998 Adam Sandler classic The Waterboy.

5. Jamie Foxx Ft. Guru & Common-Any Given Sunday

Foxx starred in the film with the same name, partly based on the novel On Any Given Sunday by famed NFL defensive end Pat Toomay; the title is derived from a line in the book (also used in the film) that a team can win or lose on “any given Sunday”

6. Tupac Ft. Big Syke-All Eyez On Me

In this 2014 Billboard Magazine article Geoff Schwartz of The New York Giants mentions that his first CD was the Tupac album, All Eyez on Me, which we think is a totally appropriate song considering how many NY Giants fans there are.

7. Jay-Z-What More Can I Say?

In this 2014 article for The Denver Post Washington redskins player Terrance Knighton lists What More Can I Say? by Jay-Z as his go-to tune.

8. Lil’ Wayne featuring Drake-Believe Me

Chris Harris, Jr of The Denver Broncos mentions in that same Denver Post article that he likes to finish with a message from Lil’ Wayne and Drake

9. Kings Of Leon-Rock City

Taylor Lewan signed a 4-year deal in the 2014 NFL Draft Pick with the Tennessee Titans, and his walk up music according to SB Nation was Rock City by Kings Of Leon

10. Phil Collins-In The Air Tonight

According to the Chicago Bears website this 1981 favorite was on their warm-up playlist before their Lions game on Jan 3rd 2016. Don’t judge.

There, something for everyone.  Happy Superbowl 50!!!
