There are a lot of cliches about country/americana/roots music, and while those cliches are definitely prevalent in many songs, I think what country music is really about is that basic, simplistic need we all have deep down. To find love, to be loved, to have a good life and to be true to yourself.
I discovered The Wild Feathers shortly after I found Jamestown Revival and their song ‘Left My Woman’ won me over. It reminded me that a song isn’t just about the lyrics or the story, but how it’s presented.
